Love K-derma’s Body Silk IPL uses Intense Pulsed Light technology to penetrate the different layers of the skin and apply gentle pulses of light to the hair’s root.
The IPL device is passed across the skin, delivering a spectrum of light that targets the melanin/pigment in the hair. This light will then travel through the layers of the skin until it reaches the hair’s root.
As the light is absorbed, the hair and its root will be heated and destroyed – eventually preventing hair regrowth on the target areas.
Recomendation
Never use the handset in the following areas:
- Around the eyes and near the eyebrows, lips, nipples, areolas, labia minora, vagina, anus, and inside of the nostrils and ears.
- Men must not use the device on the face and neck including all beard-growing areas, nor the whole genital area.
- Never use the Body Silk IPL over and near anything artificial like silicone implants, pacemakers, subcutaneous injection ports (insulin dispenser) or piercings.
- Never use the Body Silk IPL on moles, freckles, large veins, darker pigmented areas, scars, and skin anomalies without consulting your doctor. This can result in a burn and change in skin color, which makes it potentially harder to identify skin-related diseases.
- Never use the Body Silk IPL on warts, tattoos, or permanent make-up, this can also result in skin burn and a change in skin color.
- Never use the Body Silk IPL on areas where you use long-lasting deodorants. This can result in skin reactions.
- Never use the Body Silk IPL on sunburns or recently tanned or fake-tanned skin.
